But I do have a lot of fun in the process. I just launched my first "baby." Most people don't ever publish their first book and Heaven knows I've shoved this story in a drawer many times over the past four years. Something always made me pull it out and rewrite, re-enter it in contests, until finally, with the help of an amazing editor, it felt "complete." I figure for some divine reason this story needed to be published. I'm so excited and very frightened to release, or I should say expose, "Designer Genes" to the world. I suddenly feel naked (reason I posted cover picture and not me!)
First, to celebrate the official release, I'm first offering "Riley's Pond" for FREE on Amazon through Wednesday! (Riley thinks Jordan needs some help - my two alpha heroes are always competing in my head).
Second, I'm trying my hand at a contest! Until midnight on Sunday, June 25th, you'll have a chance to earn chances to win:
First prize: $20 gift certificate to either Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or iTunes.
Second prize: Autographed printed copy of "Designer Genes" plus $10 giftcard to iTunes.
Third prize: $10 Amazon gift card or autographed printed copy of *"Riley's Pond."
*(Not that I don't love "Riley's Pond" very as bit as much - still makes me cry every time I read it - but it's been published for a year and you may already own it.)
If you run into problems (because I'm so techno-savvy), please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Some of you are well on your way because, as a contest novice and currently running my law office alone while everyone's on vacation, not to mention fighting a nasty bout of stomach flu, I'm slow getting this started. (Tried my hand at Rafflecopter which will make for a funny blog later).
So here's what you can do to earn chances to have your name entered:
Follow my blog and leave a comment (make sure to leave me an email contact) for 2 chances.
Leave a comment on my Facebook daily promo. Due to my Rafflecopter not working, yesterday is a "given." Anyone commenting on today's survey will get their name added an extra time because I'm positive you found your "perfect hero," right?
Like my Facebook page (if you already have, please send me a reminder message behind my FB page because you can't duplicate "likes.")
Follow me on Twitter and send out a tweet for others to join the fun and you'll get your name put in twice.
Follow me on Pinterest and repin something from my Designer Genes page and you earn another 2 chances.
Purchase Designer Genes (send me an message with order confirmation behind my FB page) - worth 5 chances
Download a copy of Riley's Pond (only FREE 2 more days) and you're entered twice again.
Leave a review (Amazon, Goodreads, or Barnes and Noble - send me a message with the date you left it ) and it's worth 3 chances for each book.
Today's survey is to test your canine instincts. First, however, a little background is needed. Marli Davis, my sweet, naive, and stubborn heroine, is fighting to retain control of her destiny - one the government owns. Since early childhood, she's wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and become a veterinarian, but this career path is frowned upon by the upper echelon in The Program, of which Marli is a prime candidate. Marli has four handsome, sexy, and somewhat dominating male suitors she's emotionally (and physically) challenged by, each as unique as the breeds of dogs she hopes to someday nurture. So based on the following, which "dog" will end up curled at Marli's feet, or...in her lap?
